Hydraroll who are in their 6th year of being global supplier to Fed Ex, have been requested this year to supply an impressive number of rollerbed kits (266) for their replacement programme for their US ground based trailer fleet.
The contract is worth over $1 million dollars and will be supplied in 7 x 40ft containers shipped from the Hydraroll site in North Wales over 4 months starting in March.
Hydraroll have recently invested £1 million into production at the site so can now easily meet the tight schedules requested by the trailer builder for Fed Ex – Hyundai Trailers in Mexico.
It is no surprise the contract for 2014 is so high with 15% increases in US online sales for the past 2 years, current market there is $254bn. Christmas shopping in 2013 saw Fed Ex challenged to meet the unexpected volumes. This is evidence that the surge in demand of online shopping worldwide will be of great benefit to the trucking industry!
The Hydraroll Rollertrack systems now hold 80-90% of the world market and also the European market. For top customers Fed Ex, DHL, UPS British Airways and all major international airlines, the Hydraroll rollerbed is a fundamental part of their daily distribution chain, setting Hydraroll as the global specifications for all their trucks.
